Individual Therapy Services for Adults in Texas

Welcome!

I’m Jaime, a licensed therapist and the founder of Healing Through Connection Counseling. For many years, I have had the honor of supporting adult women and men who are navigating challenging seasons of life. The clients I support often see me due to relationship issues, anxiety, depression, betrayal trauma, life stress, burnout, life transitions, and personal growth. Healing happens within a safe, supportive connection, and the therapy I provide is grounded in compassion, authenticity, collaboration, and respect for each person’s unique story and pace of healing.

Each session offers a confidential, compassionate space where you can slow down, gain clarity, process difficult experiences, and reconnect with yourself in a more grounded and meaningful way. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck in painful patterns, grieving a loss, or trying to rebuild after heartbreak or betrayal, therapy can help you move toward healing, stability, and greater self-understanding.

My style is warm, collaborative, and supportive tailored to your unique experiences and goals. The goal is not perfection – it is helping you feel more connected, empowered, emotionally grounded, and supported in your everyday life and relationships.

Areas of Focus

Betrayal Trauma Recovery

I specialize in helping individuals heal from the devastating impact of relational betrayal, including infidelity, deception, compulsive sexual behavior, sex and porn addiction, and broken trust. As a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT) trained through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals, I provide compassionate, trauma-informed care designed specifically for partners experiencing betrayal trauma.

Betrayal is not simply a relationship problem – it is often a profound emotional and psychological injury that can impact safety, trust, identity, sleep, concentration, emotional regulation, and overall well-being. Many betrayed individuals experience anxiety, anger, intrusive thoughts, hypervigilance, grief, confusion, or a deep sense of disorientation following discovery. The clients I support often struggle with whether to stay, leave, or rebuild the relationship.

My approach is partner-sensitive, trauma-based, validating, and paced with care. Therapy focuses on helping you stabilize overwhelming emotions, process the trauma safely, rebuild self-trust and healthy boundaries, and gain clarity about the path forward.

Healing from betrayal is possible and you do not have to navigate this alone. With skilled support, the people I work with move from crisis and survival toward greater stability, empowerment, and renewed trust in themselves.

Relationship Challenges

Relationships can be deeply meaningful – and deeply painful when communication breaks down, conflict increases, or emotional disconnection grows. Individual therapy can help you better understand relational patterns, improve communication, strengthen boundaries, and gain insight into your emotional needs and relationship dynamics.

Therapy may support individuals navigating:

  • Ongoing relationship conflict
  • Emotional disconnection
  • Trust issues
  • Attachment wounds
  • Communication struggles
  • Family or interpersonal stress
  • Difficulty maintaining healthy relationships

Divorce, Separation & Breakups

The ending of a relationship can bring grief, anxiety, uncertainty, loneliness, anger, and significant life disruption. Even when separation is necessary or healthy, it can still feel painful and emotionally exhausting.

Therapy offers support during major relationship transitions, helping you process emotions, rebuild confidence, rediscover your identity, and move forward with greater strength and self-awareness. You do not have to navigate this challenging season alone, reach out for support, I am here to help.

Anxiety & Overwhelm

Anxiety can show up in many ways – racing thoughts, difficulty relaxing, irritability, people pleasing, perfectionism, overthinking, burnout, panic, or constantly feeling “on edge.”

Therapy can help you better understand your nervous system responses, reduce emotional overwhelm, develop healthier coping tools, and create more balance in your daily life.

Support is available for:

  • General anxiety
  • Chronic stress
  • Overthinking
  • Panic symptoms
  • High functioning overwhelm
  • Emotional exhaustion
  • Difficulty slowing down or resting

Depression

Depression can impact energy, motivation, self-worth, relationships, concentration, and hope for the future. Sometimes it feels heavy and obvious; other times it can look like numbness, disconnection, irritability, or simply feeling emotionally “flat.”

Therapy provides a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to explore what you are experiencing while working toward increased emotional support, insight, connection, and healing. When dealing with depression, it can be challenging to reach out for support, I am here to help with that first step.

Burnout & Emotional Exhaustion

Many adults find themselves emotionally depleted from the ongoing demands of work, caregiving, parenting, relationships, and trying to “hold it all together.” Burnout can impact mental, emotional, relational, and physical well-being.

Therapy can help you reconnect with your needs, identify unhealthy patterns, establish boundaries, and create a more sustainable and balanced way of living. You deserve a space to support self-care.

Life Transitions

Even positive life changes can create stress, uncertainty, and emotional upheaval. You do not have to navigate major life changes alone.

Therapy can support you through transitions such as:

  • Career changes
  • Relocation
  • Parenting changes
  • Empty nesting
  • Identity shifts
  • Aging and midlife transitions
  • Relationship changes
  • Personal growth and self-discovery

Grief & Loss

Grief is not limited to the passing of a loved one, a spouse or partner, a child, or a pet. People also grieve relationships, broken friendships, identities, life stages, dreams, safety, trust, and the life they thought they would have.

Therapy offers a supportive space to process grief at your own pace while honoring your experiences with compassion and care. Healing does not mean forgetting – it means learning how to carry loss while reconnecting with life again.
